- Successfully renegotiated terms after management team of mid-sized defense contractor negotiated letter of intent relating to $15 million merger with larger defense contractor; enabled management to save face with board of directors and shareholders and prevented significant loss of shareholder value with regards to contemplated transaction.
- Directed numerous copyright and patent infringement claims/lawsuits against national jewelry retailer. Successfully negotiated early settlements and managed local out-of-state co-counsel.
- Lead intellectual property attorney for various law firms; monitored changes and trends in intellectual property law, trained and supervised junior attorneys, and counseled clients on all aspects of intellectual property protection and compliance.
- Managed and directed numerous trademark, copyright, and patent infringement lawsuits, including preparation and response to cease and desist letters, DMCA take-down notices, pre-litigation negotiations, preparation of complaints, answers and discovery responses, and supervision of local counsel. Prepared trademark and copyright applications and non-disclosure and license agreements. Litigated and arbitrated claims.
